Photo Illusion Revised

The photo illusion activity was one that stressed the importance of practicing writing. Most of us in the classroom have been out for the summer and have not been writing for at least that period of time, if not longer. Perhaps that is why writing about ourselves and responding to someone elses photo seemed difficult at first. I feel that the quote that was placed on the board was trying to emphasize just that, that writing is not difficult, it simply comes easier to those who are in good practice with it and are therefore, more comfortable with it. Writing is a very essential part of our lives, and when you do write something beautiful there is a feeling of great accomplishment. I hope to get back to my writing roots during this semester!

this activity showed that we need to practice writing. As we become more accustomed to it, it will become much easier. The quote points out that we all have meaningful things in our lives that could be talked about, the fact is that we simply need to get used to putting those events in to words and on to paper. This was a good activity that made me reflect on myself. I know that when I was doing a lot of writing in High School it came much easier to me than it does now that I am out of "practice".
